CLIMB GENERAL RULES

I- INITIAL CONSIDERATIONS
CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES is a virtual organization founded by aviation enthusiasts. Its creation was the result of the union of several aviation enthusiasts who decided to join together freely and voluntarily with the aim of standardizing procedures applicable to a real airline and bringing them into the virtual environment. We are one of the largest and most important Virtual Airlines in Brazil, where we obtained our homologation with IVAO (International Virtual Aviation Organization) in October 2019, and consequently became a member of IVAO-BR. We are a non-profit organization, and therefore, membership is free. The publication of adult, political, or religious content on CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES communication channels (E-mail, Telegram, Whatsapp, and Discord) is strictly prohibited. Actions of this nature will be punished with warnings or dismissal of the VA pilot, depending on the severity of the incident. Pilots who use the name of CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES for profit or other means that may harm the image of the VA, such as creating groups or profiles on social networks that demonstrate any kind of unauthorized connection with the VA, will be removed without the right to rejoin the VA. Any attempt to cause damage, malicious actions, or access to exclusive staff areas will result in the removal of the crew member from the VA without the right to rejoin. *We reserve the right to randomly refuse registrations.

II- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
It is a prerequisite for participation in the Climb Airlines selection process to be at least 16 years old on the date of registration (if you are younger than the required age, the possibility of joining will be evaluated). Experience in Airbus aircraft - A319/320/321 family (Aerosoft/Wilco) and Boeing family (PMDG/IFLY/ZIBO), METAR, Phraseology. Have a minimum of 100 hours of flight on any simulation network. This requirement will be verified as soon as the pilot starts the tour, and it is mandatory to fill in the simulation network and the ID/VID.

III- JOINING
The entry into CLIMB VIRTUAL is through the Admission Test at the CLIMB academy (http://voeclimb.com/academy/), where the pilot will take a theoretical test with 20 multiple-choice questions covering Meteorology, Phraseology, Navigation, and Regulation. The candidate will have 40 minutes to complete this exam. The pilot starts as a trainee copilot and progresses according to the CLIMB Airlines career plan. Please note that the FIRST OFFICER TRAINING COURSE must also be completed at the academy to obtain the proper promotion.

IMPORTANT: We do not accept data migration from other VAs. The registration is unique and non-transferable.

VI- FLIGHT REPORT
The official program for recording flights carried out by the VA is SMARTCARS. This program records all flight parameters required by the company and also handles the submission and updating of pilot flight hours. Under no circumstances will manually submitted flights/logs be accepted. After submitting the log, your flight will be listed as 'Pending' and will await evaluation by one of the responsible staff members. It is not necessary to wait for the log evaluation to perform other flights for the VA, except in special cases such as mandatory layovers.

V- SIMULATION RATE ALTERATION
Accelerating, reducing, or pausing the simulation rate during CLIMB flights is prohibited. Logs with a rate higher or lower than 1x/normal will not be accepted. IMPORTANT: The use of SLEW/PAUSE during flights, or if this feature is only mentioned in the flight log, the flight will be deleted, and the pilot will lose both the flight and the flight hours. We recommend disabling the keys associated with PAUSE and SLEW actions in the settings.

VI- CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL/REJECTION OF LOGS (PIREPS)
As mentioned above, CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES uses SmartCARS for flight analysis. The software evaluates a series of information, and the company determines which situations are subject to rejection, as described below.
  • Touchdown above -501 ft/min;
  • SmartCARS configuration error;
  • Divergence in SmartCARS cruise altitude;
  • Pause (Above 11 seconds);
  • Overspeed (Above 21 seconds);
  • Exceeding the speed limit of 262 Knots below 10,000 ft;
  • Stall;
  • Offline flights (Only allowed for some pilots in training);
  • Refuel (Refueling after engine start);
  • Slew Detected;
  • Submission of Pirep without engine shutdown;
  • Landing at an alternative aerodrome different from the planned one;
  • Simulation rate alteration;
  • Using a different aircraft than the one scheduled in the Dispatch.
Furthermore, regarding the flight log analysis, CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES has a criterion for rejecting logs based on the tolerance of certain items.
The automatic flight approval system (climbinho) instantly analyzes your log to detect rejection criteria. It marks the log as Accepted or Pending automatically. If climbinho identifies a rejection criterion, the PIREP is marked as Pending, and it will be reviewed by the FLIGHT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR due to some rejection criteria having a tolerance. The specific criteria are described and reviewed at the evaluator's discretion. Afterwards, it will be re-marked as either Accepted or Rejected.

VII- CLIMB MONEY / CLIMB TOUR
The virtual salary (CLIMB MONEY) for pilots is automatically credited after each flight. The credit is available to the crew member and can be checked on the homepage of the D.O.V. under the CURRENT BALANCE field. With the CLIMB MONEY, the crew member can request a change of location (jumpseat).

The TOUR MONEY is an incentive that rewards the most active pilots who participate in company events and tours. To earn it, pilots need to sign up for the corresponding event or tour and complete the mandatory legs. The TOUR MONEY is manually added by the CL-ED - EVENTS DIRECTOR and can be checked on the homepage of the D.O.V. under the Tour Money field. Pilots can exchange their points for exclusive products in our CLIMB STORE, subject to product availability, or even donate them for the maintenance of our system.

VIII- MANDATORY LEGS
The Mandatory Legs are generated at the beginning of each month and made available to the pilot until the 5th day of the current month. These legs must be completed only during the month for which the schedule was created. The crew member can refuse to accept their assigned legs, but it should be noted that a new schedule will not be generated, and they will not receive the corresponding tour money for that month. The schedule consists of 10 legs that must be completed in sequence, following the rejection criteria described below. Pilots can earn the TOUR MONEY as described in item VII of this regulation.

IX- Top Pilots (Pilot of the Month)
Climb Virtual Airlines rewards the top three pilots of the month. The first-place pilot receives a bonus of five CT$ 5.00 (TOUR MONEY), the second-place pilot receives three C$ 3.00 (TOUR MONEY), and the third-place pilot receives one C$ 1.00 (TOUR MONEY). This amount will be added to the pilot's balance on the Climb website. As mentioned, this amount can be used to purchase products from our CLIMB STORE according to product availability.

X- INACTIVITY
Pilots are required to complete 04 flights within a 30-day period. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in automatic deactivation of the account. After deactivation, pilots have up to 15 days to request reactivation of their account from the HR department (rh@voeclimb.com). If this deadline is exceeded, the account will be deleted, and the pilot will lose their record.

XI- TEMPORARY LEAVE
Any crew member holding the position of First Officer (or higher) can request a temporary leave from the VA by informing the HR department through the HELP DESK. This guarantees a 30-day period without submitting logs. The pilot is not necessarily required to be absent for the entire 30-day period; it is up to the crew member to choose the number of days they will be absent. As the temporary leave period expires, the crew member has up to 30 days to request a return to the VA and must complete the minimum of 4 flights per month after the temporary leave period ends.

XII- ONLINE FLIGHT
All flights must be performed online on the IVAO or VATSIM servers. There is no obligation to choose a specific server; it is up to the pilot's discretion. However, all crew members must use the RMK OPR/CLV PIC/CLVXXXX (pilot registration) CLVyyy (flight number). When flying in another country, it is mandatory to use the company's callsign "CLVXXXX". Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the flight being rejected by the log department, and the pilot may incur penalties. Crew members flying on networks such as IVAO/VATS.

XII- TERMINATION
Failure to comply with any item of this regulation or the server rules may result in temporary or permanent cancellation of the registration of the individual(s) involved.

XIV- RETURN TO VA
Members who have been removed due to inactivity can recover flight logs from previous registrations. After completing a new admission process, the crew member must request reactivation of their data from a staff member, noting that they only have 15 days to request the return, counted from the date of deactivation.

XV- CAREER PLAN
CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES understands that a Career Plan should be a great learning experience for all members.
